The Ford Focus BEV Proitotype has been revealed at Frankfurt
Ford are intent on bringing an electric car to the market as soon as possible, and intend starting trials of the Focus BEV in the New Year. The Focus BEV has been developed to participate in the ‘Ultra Low Carbon Vehicles’ ( a real misnomer) demonstration next year. The Focus BEV is driven by a 100KW electric motor which is powered by a 23kwh lithium-ion battery pack developed by Vauxhall’s new owner, Magna.

Much like Mercedes has done with its GLK at this year’s SEMA show, Chevrolet has turned its Camaro muscle car over to four tuners to see what they come up with. And credit crunch and fuel prices be damned - we like what we’re seeing. A lot.
A MILLION CARS have been produced so far this year in the UK, helped by a highly successful month in September. But manufacturing of commercial vehicles (CV) slumped more than 27%. A total of 140,888 cars were built in the UK in September 2013 - 9.9% more than in September last year, the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) said.
